Nowhere in the world, will all your senses be tested, as they will on this motorcycle adventure. As bikers, we know that when travelling in a car, you are in a compartment, so what you see is like watching it on a TV. You’re just a passive observer, and it’s all moving by you; boringly, frame by frame. On our tours, riding the classic Royal Enfield 500 Bullet; the frames are gone, and you are in the scene. You’re not just watching anymore, and the sense of presence is overwhelming.
India has so much diversity, and every day, your eyes will see something new. From abject poverty, to amazing wealth, and everything in between; you will hear, see, smell, taste, and feel it all. Bustling crowds in the capital, to the vast expanse of space, we cross the magnificent Himalayan mountain ranges. So much contrast on one tour, embellishing your thoughts months later. Like many clients, you will probably want to do it all again.
The overall experience of just being in this amazing part of the world, would be enough for most people; though, we will visit some amazing sights and stay in some very unique places; such as, the houseboats on the Dal Lake in Srinigar, the capital of Kashmir.

Be aware, however, that any travel insurance ceases immediately on return to your own country, even if ongoing surgery is required. Private health cover or government Medicare resumes at that point.
#3 A note on tips. We recognise tipping is not generally part of the Australian way of life, however, it is expected in most parts of the world. Daily hotel porters will expect a small reward for carrying your bags to you room, and our mechanics, drivers and support staff anticipate reasonable tips to supplement their modest wages. We suggest approximately $5 per day, distributed amongst the local crew. If you have had a good time, we would encourage you to donate generously. If something is not satisfactory, please come talk to us.
- Day 1 of our tour involves the logistics of having all of you fly in from different starting points at different times to all somehow meet up in Delhi. From your first glance at the sprawling metropolis you will immediately begin to appreciate that India is a land of contrasts, a land of diversity and variation unparalleled anywhere else in the world. Abject , squalid slums sit incongruously alongside amazing modern buildings of stunning beauty, like the lotus shaped Ba’hai temple. Five star hotels are served by 1950s vintage Morris Oxford taxi cabs with engines the same size as their batteries. At times confusing, at times challenging and at all times chaotic. Delhi is never still, never restful and never boring.
- Day 2 we head off and ride to Chandigarh. Taking it easy as we leave Delhi we work our way down the NH1 with beautiful green fields on either side giving us our first feel of the countryside.
- Day 3 sees us proceeding towards Manali at an altitude of 2000m. Adventure starts on this ride as we pass the Pando dam on the way for a photo stop. When we reach Kullu the road follows along the mighty Baes river into Manali.
- Day 4 and we are off to Jispa with an altitude of 3080 meters. Today we cross one of the most famous passes, the Rhotang La!

- Day 7 is a well earned rest day in Leh. Its a beautiful town to explore and have a look around. We can go for a quick ride and have a look at the amazing Thiskey Monastary then continue to explore the markets and shops.
- Day 8 we head off today on our way to Nubra. along the way we go over the Kahardung La, on the old silk road to china, where we will get our picture at the sign that shows we are at the “highest motarable road in the world!” We then cross into the Nubra valley with peach trees, sand dunes and double humped Siberian camels!!
- Day 9 we make our way to Pangong Tso which a dream ride for motorcyclists. The Pangong lake is the highest natural salt lake in Asia and is 160km long and a beautiful turquoise colour. We stay in beautiful tents along the river, which is one third in India and the rest in China.
- Day 10 we haed back to Leh and this time we ride through the Chang La pass, the 3rd highest pass in the world. So you would have now done the top 3! A great ride today then the afternoon free to relax in Leh.

On the way we pass through Drass which has the title of the 2nd coldest inhabitable place on earth,(don’t worry its warm when we are there!!) - Day 13 We leave Srinigar and make the journey to Pathankot where along the way we go through the 2531 meter long Jawahar Tunnel. At this stage of the tour you will be having deep thoughts and memories of what we have seen and ask yourself have you really just done all this? Yes , you have!.
